Dr. Michael Lebec is a physical therapist with over 20 years of clinical practice experience. He received a Ph.D. in Education in 2003 and has been a faculty member in the Northern Arizona University Doctor of Physical Therapy program for 15 years. For most of this time, he has been primarily responsible for teaching the therapeutic modalities portion of the curriculum and is a co-author of a chapter entitled Evidence-Based use of Modalities in the Shoulder Girdle. In 2013, The American Physical Therapy Association selected him as an Innovator in Physical Therapy Practice for his work in promoting Emergency Department Physical Therapist services. He has received multiple awards and honors for teaching at Northern Arizona University and has disseminated a number of peer-reviewed presentations and publications focused on the use of effective instructional methods.
