Rehab Essentials is proud to announce Michael J Emery, PT, EdD, FAPTA, received the Mary Jane Harris Distinguished Service Award on October 2, 2020 at the virtual CAPTE Business Meeting.  The Mary Jane Harris Distinguished Service Award recognizes Dr. Emery’s outstanding and prolonged contributions to the CAPTE accreditation process.

Dr. Emery served as the Chairman of the Commission for Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education for five years and continues as a CAPTE site visitor and team leader. While at the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science at Sacred Heart University, he served as the department Chair, Associate Dean of the College, founding DPT program director of the physical therapy program, established a physical therapy faculty practice and implemented two ABPTRFE certified PT residency programs. He was active in new program development, faculty development and marketing for graduate education programs. At Rehab Essentials, Dr. Emery continues to develop new programs to ensure we educate, elevate, connect, and impact rehabilitation professionals globally.
